Winter in Paradise

Amelia Island offers a mild respite from the harsh temperatures of
winter. With an average high temperature of around 65 degrees between December and February, Amelia is perfect for outdoor activities including golf, tennis, fishing, sailing or sightseeing.

Be sure to experience Fort Clinch State Park and downtown Fernandina's 50-block Historic District.

Special events during the winter include the Victorian Seaside Christmas Celebration throughout the month of December; the 22nd Annual Antiques Show and Sale at the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center February 26-28; and "Quilting by the Sea," presented by the Amelia Island Quilt Guild Feb 27 & 28 at the Recreation Center.
