AMELIA IN WINTER

Amelia Island's mild winter temperatures make it an ideal setting for a wide range of activities. Walk down the quaint streets of Historic Downtown Fernandina, charter a boat for a day of fishing or sightseeing, go horseback riding on the beach or kayaking through the backwaters, play a round of golf at one of the area's fine courses, or simply enjoy the array of shopping and dining choices that await you on the island.

Special winter events include a variety of holiday happenings, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival's Preseason Winter Concert Feb. 10; and the 27th Annual Antiques Show and Sale at the Recreation Center Feb. 20-22.
