The Sixth Annual Amelia Island
Concours d'Elegance, to be held March 9 - 11, 2001, at the
Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
Regarded as the nation's most eclectic
classic car show, the Concours d'Elegance features more
than 200 of the country's most exotic classic cars, many from
private collections seldom seen in
public. The 2001 show will be held on Sunday, March 11. Other
events during this three-day
weekend include an old-fashioned road rally, a golf tournament,
an art show and a black-tie dinner.
There will also be a classic car auction held on Saturday, March
10, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Last
year's auction garnered almost $13 million in sales.

Motorcycle and Formula One
Champion John Surtees will serve as Honorary Chairman of the
Sixth Annual Concours d'Elegance. He is the only
"six-wheel" champion in history, having won
World Championship races on two wheels and on four wheels.
The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance
benefits Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc.
In the past five years, the show has raised almost $1 million for
Hospice.
