Summertime means outdoor fun on Amelia Island. Most of the fun revolves around the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Amelia River. Choose from swimming, fishing, surfing, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking or beachcombing.

If you must remain on land, Amelia is an excellent place for a round of golf. Consult our golf chart for information on all the area courses.
For those who enjoy sightseeing, be sure to visit Fort Clinch, the pre-Civil War fort on the northern tip of Amelia Island, and Historic Downtown Fernandina. A walking or driving tour of the historic district is available on this website.
A special event during the summer is the Nassau Sport Fishing Association's 17th Annual Kingfish Tournament, held  July 1 - 4.
