In just five short seasons this festival is already recognized as one of the nation's premier chamber music festivals, with an impressive lineup of world-renowned musicians. In the intimate, historic settings that have become familiar to concertgoers, Festival Five will recall the finest performers from past year's events, and also introduce some of today's creme of chamber music worldwide.

The recently renovated Amelia Plantation Chapel will host three concerts: pianist Andre Watts on May 30; violinist Sarah Chang, cellist Lynn Harrell and violinist Helen Nightengale on June 13; and one of the world's foremost chamber ensembles, the Emerson String Quartet, on June 20.

Sandy Bottoms will be the venue for two nights of jazz on May 31 and June 1 featuring Regina Carter on the violin and Kenny Barron on piano. Sandy Bottoms will also host the second annual Late Nite Concert on June 17 featuring violinists Rachel Barton Pine and Philip Pan. Then on Monday, June 19, Rachel Barton Pine will move to the First Baptist Church to present "Rachel, O'Riley and Radiohead" with pianist Christopher O'Riley.
An all-Paganini night June 5 will higlight the creativity of guitar virtuoso Eliot Fisk, violist Roberto Diaz and pianist Valentina Lisitsa at the Macedonia AME Church. Fisk will also be featured with the Vega String Quartet at one of the always popular Coffee Concerts held at the historic Nassau County Courthouse. Eliot Fisk will perform on June 6. Sarah Chang joins the Vega String Quartet for the Coffee Concert on June 14.

The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is the setting June 2 for "An Evening with Elmar," featuring violinist Elmar Oliveira.
Festival favorites violinist Cho-Liang Lin and cellist Lynn Harrell will headline the June 4 gala at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Also returning as an encore to the dyamic presence they had last year are Horcaio Gutierrez, the Ritz Chamber Players and the Guarneri String Quartet. Making their festival debut in 2006 are piano headliners Jon Kimura Parker and Garrick Ohlson.
The festival concludes on June 22 at St. Peter's with "From Russia with Lynn." This is an encore of the inaugural festival performance from June 2, 2002.
