36th ANNUAL ISLE OF EIGHT FLAGS
SHRIMP FESTIVAL

The highlight of springtime on Amelia Island is the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, which returns to historic downtown Fernandina for the 36th consecutive year. The 1999 Shrimp Festival will take place from Friday, April 30, through Sunday, May 2.

Named to the "Sunshine Artists" Best 200 list, the Shrimp Festival features hundreds of nationally-recognized artists, craftsmen and antique vendors.

There is always something for everyone at the Shrimp Festival. Along with the arts and craft displays, the festival offers live music, a Children's Fun Area, the Miss Shrimp Festival Beauty Pageant, the Invasion of Pirates and lots of delicious local seafood!
