May 1, 2, 3

Yummy... Shrimp... Boiled.... Fried... As You Like Them

Mark your calendars now for the 35th annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival. The fun starts Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m. with a pirate-filled parade. The following evening at 7 p.m., the sights and sounds of talented musicians, sparkling fireworks, the Invasion of Pirates and the the Miss Shrimp Festival beauty pageant mark the Opening Ceremonies held at the docks at the foot of Centre Street.

The excitement continues through Saturday and Sunday when 400 nationally recognized artists, craftsmen and antique vendors shower the area with treats for everyone. The Shrimp Festival was named to the "Sunshine Artists" 1996 Best 200 list, a true indication of excellence in the arts and crafts industry.

In addition to arts and crafts, there will be live music, the Blessing of the Fleet, a Children's Fun Area and of course, lots and lots of delicious local seafood!
