One of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the
southeast will fill the streets of historic downtown Fernandina when the Shrimp Festival
returns to Amelia Island the weekend of April 29 - May 1.
This annual gathering draws over 125,000 spectators who come here in search of fine art,
crafts, antiques, pottery, jewelry, clothing, photography and more.
The Shrimp Festival also features live music from local and regional acts on several
stages, a children's Fun Zone, Little Pirate Contest, Beard Contest, the Invasion of
Pirates, tours of the Georgia Bulldog shrimpboat, the Blessing of the Fleet and lots of
delicious local seafood!
The Shrimp Festival Parade starts off the celebration on Thursday, April 28. The annual
Downtown Merchants Sidewalk Sale is Friday, April 29. Saturday and Sunday are the main
