The Beachside Motel on South Fletcher Avenue
celebrates its 25th anniversary this May.
_________________________

Finally, the month of May marks the 25th anniversary of the Beachside Motel, a family-owned tradition since 1977. Amelia Island natives Joy and Jerry Kight are second generation owners. The Beachside Motel was built on land originally purchased by Jerry's father (who built a hotel across the street in the 1950's). In this era of large-scale vacation resorts, the Beachside's personalized customer service helps them stand apart. Over 80 percent of their business is from repeat customers, some of whom stayed at the Beachside Motel during its opening year. For more information on the anniversary celebration, please call 261-4236.
