   The cooling temperatures of the fall months enable both residents and visitors to enjoy the wide range of outdoor activities that Amelia Island has to offer.
     Choose from a relaxing day at the beach, a fishing or sailing excursion, a round of golf or a game of tennis, just to name a few.

     The fall season is also an excellent time for sightseeing on Amelia Island. Fernandina's downtown Historic District is a must see, as is Fort Clinch State Park on the northern tip of the island.
     Special events during the fall include the Volkswagen Heritage Celebration October 22-24 and the annual Florida-Georgia football game in Jacksonville on October 30.
