CHRISTMAS TOUR OF BED &
BREAKFAST INNS

Island hop this December during the kick-off to the holiday season, highlighted by the Christmas Tour of Bed & Breakfast Inns on December 7-8 from 1 to 5 p.m. The ten B&B's on the tour, all festively decorated for the holidays, with innkeepers dressed in authentic Victorian costume, wait to greet you as you enter through uniquely decorated doorways. The sounds of the season will greet you as carolers and musicians play for your listening pleasure, and guides, well-versed in the historic lore of these old and beautiful mansions, explain about customs of the families that lived in these homes in years past. During the tour, strolling carolers from the Amelia Baptist Church, dressed in
Dickens-style costumes and singing holiday favorites, will surround you with the sounds of Christmas. The newly-renovated Historic County Courthouse will also be open for viewing during the Christmas Tour.

On Friday evening, December 6th, enjoy an Artrageous Gallery Stroll through boutiques and art galleries filled to overflowing with exciting holiday treasures. The walkways will be brightly lit by luminaries that stretch from the Atlantic Ocean to the Amelia River. Also, a Luminary-Led Tour of the Historic District will be held on Friday, December 6th at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. Call the Amelia Island Museum of History at 904-261-7378 to make your reservation.
The Annual Pet Parade will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11 a.m. in front of the Arts & Antiques Centre, where best friends will lead the way dressed to the nines in their holiday finery.
On December 7th and 8th, enjoy an evening of festive music from the Amelia Arts Academy with the Amelia Island Chorale at the Middle School Auditorium.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.
